The month of February is upon us and spring has arrived in Mystara. The Winter Queen has been put to rest and the season of rebirth has begun. This primal drive for propagation is being felt throughout the realm and the Magical Books within Bound to Please are not immune. This drive is permeating the air within the bookstore and affecting everyone within. Customers are being cautioned to not be alarmed if they feel a sense of lightheadedness or the desire to flirt. The effects are generally short term but be cautioned that the longer inside, the more one may be effected. One can only advise that you ‘be prepared.’
Bookstore employees began noticing a subtle shift in book temperaments beginning February 7th. Books began behaving skittishly and avoiding contact. Lilting music drifted from the shelves and candles mysteriously sprung to light. Magical Tomes continue to fly happily off the shelves for customers returning with completed boons. No new boones are being released at this time as they conserve their energies for the week-long courtship and procreative process. After February 14 it is anticipated that business shall resume as normal and the gift of boons will return. Bookstore visitors are still strongly encouraged to make their entreaties to the Tomes for future knowledge.
Race leads, business leaders, and book lovers in general (no pun intended) are invited to visit the bookstore and voice their entreaties to the books as to the types of knowledge they would like to see propagated for the upcoming year. This is a chance to tell the Books the types of knowledge you would like to see made available to take advantage of their procreative urges. Entreaties in the past have helped avoid famine and wars through the abundance of knowledge provided. And even what may be a seemingly insignificant entry can prove valuable. Several years ago there was an upsurge in requests for information regarding medical ailments. Without the timely entreaties from a young monarch, the knowledge regarding genital warts may not have been made available.
