The Chimera Magic shop, Stitch n’ Time, and Bound to Please will be hosting the Hexed, Bound, and Stitched. Join us out at Stromness town Square on Wednesday, October 29th, starting at 1 pm and continuing on till 9 pm. The events will include a potion brewing contest, a costume contest, and a creative writing contest! Contest Winners for all three events will be selected just after each respected event.
1pm is the Potion Brewing Contest being put on by the Chimera. Who would love a chance to prove to all, who is the fastest potion-brewer alive to get it right! Come show off your potion-brewing skills! Add ingredients at your own peril! Potions will be judged on how well the items are prepared, the quantity of ingredients used, the time it takes for them to decide, and the effects the finished product has!
4 pm is the Costume Contest being put on by the Stitch n’ Time. It’s time to pull out your supplies and make the ultimate costume. Originality is a must – and of course, if you need assistance or supplies these can be provided by the Tailor Shop staff. Contests should be prepared to arrive in costume and present themselves. The first place winner will win a free leather jacket & boots from the Tailor Shop. The top three contestants will have their pictures taken and sent into the Tribune for publishing.
7 pm is the Creative Writing Contest being put on by the Bound to Please. Now is the time to display your creative writing and performing talents! The bookstore will be conducting a “scary story” contest for the writers in the realm. Only you are not limited to just stories – it could be a short story, a poem, or even a song (but must be scary). Must be original writings. Top three contest winners will be selected and published in the Bookstore and also sent to the Tribune for publishing.
