A Solemn Stromness Update

Citizens of the Great Kingdom of Stromness,

A Castle Official has just informed the offices of the Tribune of some very heartbreaking news. This very office published an article recently that explained how the King and his Royal Advisor set out on a diplomatic mission to Aradia to meet with the Grand Caliph in the City of Hazuz. The castle received word today that King Marsuvees and Royal Advisor Anastasia have not made it to Hazuz, and wreckage of their ship began washing up onto the shore a couple of days ago. It is believed that King Marsuvees and Anastasia have died at sea, as have their crew. Stromness Mourns today, but tomorrow we rebuild. It is not yet clear if King Marsuvees has any remaining heirs, but those in the castle are working and researching diligently to find out. Keep checking the Tribune, as we will have the latest information about this tragedy.

In related news, rumor has it that a crown has appeared on the throne. Servants of the castle cannot remove it; it seems oddly just stuck in place. The few that touched it claim to have seen strange things such a lost ship and a faceless wearer.  Who will come calling to touch the crown and their own risk? Continue reading

Apparently, however, rumors from the mouth of a gossiping castle servant have brought news of the King’s disappearance into the streets of Stromness. Because of this, we have been asked to include the truth of what has happened in this Tribune issue and, as a result, hope that the negative whispers of our King will be silenced. Continue reading
